Spring Play - "Murder's in the Heir" Each of the heirs to the tyrannical billionaire Simon Starkweather has the means and the motive to do away with him. Starkweather gathers his family and employees to announce the contents of his will. His lawyer, Lois van Zandt, reveals that he has bequeathed vast fortunes to his befuddled niece Fiona, her playboy son Jordan, his great-niece Paula (a Southern belle) and his grandson Simon III, as well as to his many servants. Then Lois delivers the bombshell! Within hours this will becomes invalid. Of course, the rejected heirs are not pleased, so it’s not surprising when they roam the old mansion carrying such items as an ax, a gun, and poison. Predictably, the lights go out, and Simon is discovered murdered. Simon III (played by the same actor who plays the elderly Simon) is determined to find his grandfather’s killer, with the help of detective Mike Davis. The play’s unique ending, utilizing secret ballots gathered at intermission from the audience, determines the killer in this Billy St. John maze of murder. Coach Amy Jones (right), pictured here with Coach Pelan, has been named Drama Coach of the Year for Class B schools in Montana, a well-deserved recognition of her dedication and impact. With 17 years of commitment to the Speech, Drama, and Debate team, Jones has inspired and guided countless students, fostering both their theatrical/speaking talents and personal growth. Her leadership and passion have been instrumental in the team’s success, earning her the respect of students, colleagues, and the broader Speech, Drama, and Debate community. Spring sports are here! High School Track and Golf practice are set to begin on Monday, March 10th at 4:00 pm. JH track is set to start the following Monday, March 17th. All forms were handed out at the student interest meeting this last week. If your student did not get forms they can grab them from the front office at school on Monday. Go Panthers!

Congratulations to Science Olympiad coached by Mrs. Lesnik. They finished 13th overall in the team competition in Bozeman. This is the second highest placing for a Class B School in the state. Our Write it, Do it Team (Lily Vickers and Sophie Kellum) finished 5th overall. Our Material Science Team (Jessie Graham and Jacob Turner) finished 7th. Our Entomology Team (Lily Vickers and Jay Gillis) finished 8th overall. Our Optics Team (Sophie Kellum and Gage Sem) finished 9th overall. Our Microbe Mission Team (Jessie Graham and Jacob Turner) finished 11th.

This is a notice that the Board of Trustees for Roundup School District 55 & 55H, Musselshell County, Montana will hold their regularly scheduled March Board meeting on Monday, March 10. 2025 Junior High/Senior High Yearbooks $65 - Due to high demand, we have increased our order to have more yearbooks available to sell. Even with this increase, we have less than 50 books available. Please reserve yours now to ensure that your student receives a copy. Only $5 down will hold your book. Once they are gone, they are gone. We will not increase our order again. Speech and Drama Banquet CANCELLED for tomorrow (Tues, Feb 18).

Please be advised that due to predicted weather conditions, Roundup Public Schools will be canceling school for Tuesday, February 18th. On Wednesday the 19th, we plan to have a delayed start at 10am, for those that can safely make it to school. Route buses will not be running on Wednesday. Please stay safe and warm while we wait out this current storm.

Roundup Panthers Wrestling took 6 athletes to State where we competed among 993 other competitors across the state. Unfortunately, we did not place, but we gave it a good whirl. Our team should be very proud of their accomplishments this year!!! 4B Basketball Tournament in Red Lodge With a weekend of games still left to play, seeding could still change. As of now, the boys are in the 7 seed and would play Wednesday at 3:00 PM. The girls are sitting in the 6 seed and would play Wednesday at 7:30 PM. If anything changes, we will make sure to let everyone know. Go Panthers!

Panther Athletics Weekly Schedule There are lots of happenings at RHS this week with many changes! First, the high school basketball games tomorrow vs. Columbus have been bumped back to 5:30 PM and 7:00 PM start times due to official availability. As of now, those games are still on with the weather. State wrestling is starting on Thursday at 4:00 PM. Thursday - First Round Matches Boys, First and Second Round Girls Friday - Parade of Athletes 9:00 AM, Quarterfinals and Consolation Matches Saturday - 9:00 AM, Consolation, Semi-finals, and Finals Friday - Senior Night for Basketball, Cheer, Speech and Drama and Pep Band Students must have their Senior Profiles in by the end of the school day on Wednesday. We will walk in between the Varsity Contests (approx. 7:10 PM). Be sure to be in the school commons by 7:00 to walk! Go Panthers!
